Система, которая может распознавать слитную речь, нередко имеющая фонемные ссылки и использующая лексические, синтаксические, семантические и прагматические данные, и которая реагирует надлежащим образом (соответственно, расшифровав сообщение и отыскав соответствующие меры, которые следует принять). Этим термином описывается конечная задача исследования ASR (МСЭ-Т P.10/ G.100).
